Following the lead of Airtel and Vodafone, Idea Cellular has now revised its Rs 348 plan to offer twice as much data (1GB) along with unlimited local and STD calling. This package comes with a validity of 28 days, just like the other networks. This particular plan is eligible to work with 4G handsets, attracting a large number of customers.

That puts Idea on a par with networks like Airtel and Vodafone, which have an oddly similar plan to offer, albeit at a marginally lower price. Given the kind of competition Jio is unleashing on Indian carriers, it’s imperative the networks do something to get back on track.
