The name of the game nowadays is OTT. It has become a buzzword, albeit a cliché. It’s no surprise that Mirchi, a music and entertainment company, chose to describe its newly launched ‘audio OTT’ mobile app. Called Mirchi Plus, the app will offer original audio stories, podcasts and entertainment news.
Listeners can access Mirchi’s content library anytime, anywhere. Mirchi Plus will be available on Apple and Android smartphones, as well as Android Auto and Apple Car playback systems.
Mirchi Plus said it will offer its content in 10 different languages - English, Hindi, Punjabi, Marathi, Gujarati, Bangla, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada – and will also provide audio stories in genres such as drama, comedy, romance, horror, thriller and much more.

Mirchi Plus said it will release new audio programs every month. The app will also offer exclusive audio content, which includes a never-before-seen audio story inspired by real events titled 1000 Crore Ki Laash narrated by Nawazuddin Sidiqqui.
Popular artists like Neena Gupta will narrate a romance-based audio story Aakhri RishtaRhea Chakraborty for a travel drama called Purane Khatand Ashutosh Rana for a supernatural thriller called Varuthi. Mirchi Plus will also use content from Mirchi FM. Some of Mirchi FM’s content like Mirchi Murga, mythology show ‘The Devdutt Patnaik’, ‘Bhatt Naturally’ a talk show series hosted by Mahesh and Pooja Bhatt about Bollywood controversies, Kareena Kapoor Khan’s show ‘What Women Want’, series of interviews with top Bollywood celebrities and show on the legendary ‘Manto’ voiced by great personalities like Nandita Das, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and RJ Sayema will also be available on Mirchi Plus.
